Dāv was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota - possibly the best city on earth. He still lives there today. Since his birth, he's authored two novels, Lake Desire (2003) and Elysium Coast (2020). He's also written, produced, and directed 5 movies that have won over a dozen awards and have been globally released by Lion's Gate, and others (it's true. Look him up on the IMDB). He holds a BA in History and Media where he graduated summa cum laude. Fed up with the Independent Film biz, he moved to YouTube in 2014 with his first channel, Dāv Kaufman's Reptile Adventures based on his love of nature and reptiles. He maintained the channel as a hobby while he was finishing his degree. Then, taking a U-turn from his idea of being a history professor for various reasons (*cough* 39 hours a week so no tenure or benefits *cough*), Dāv started taking YouTube seriously, turning it into a career over the years (now working 60-80 hours a week with no tenure or benefits). Since the first channel, Dāv has founded a multi-media company, Rattle On Media and through the company, started three new channels: Dāv Kaufman's Adventures (2016), Dāv Kaufman's Fishing Adventures (2021) and of course, the newest fruit on the vine, Dāv Kaufman Eats the World (2023). Dāv travels to new, remote, and sometimes dangerous wild destinations on every continent on earth filming for all four of his channels, so there's always a constant flow of fresh, entertaining, educational, and sometimes goofy videos across all his channels...for y'all to binge watch.
